J. Eugene Huffstutter, MD

Dr. J. Eugene Huffstutter is originally from a small town in West Tennessee. After leaving the family farm, he attended college at the University of Tennessee at Martin and Medical School at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He was an Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Oklahoma and received his rheumatology subspecialty training at the Medical University of South Carolina. He joined Arthritis Associates in 1984 immediately out of training.

Dr. Huffstutter is currently a member of the American Medical Association, a Fellow in the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians, a member of the Tennessee Medical Association, Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society, Tennessee Rheumatology Society, and United Rheumatology. He has published several articles in peer review journals and continues to participate in multiple arthritis research projects. He is an active nationwide speaker on the current trends in arthritis treatment. He is a Past-President of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society and continues to participate in various positions at the American College of Rheumatology. He is married with three adult children and enjoys working out and family gatherings.
